Order of Penitant Francicscans of Faith
Member - World Communion of 'Christian Celtic Convergence Churches' (CCCC) **************************************************************************************************
This Franciscan Order was started in Wisconsin, Nr Lake Michegan, in the USA.
The Founder - Bishop's Cannon, Reverend Father Robert (Bob) Grimer and two young Altar servers seen here at St Johns Chapel, in the earlier years, when the Order was being established.
This is an open Franciscan Order which was tentatively formed, around 2001, by Founder member Rev Fr Robert Grimer and his friend and Episcopal Minister Rev Fr Hughes, of St. Johns Chapel.
Although the Order never had a proper Church approval with Holy Orders and covenant consecration, the leader Rev Fr Robert was originally blessed to carry on this work, by Bishop Russell of the Episcopalian Church USA, and encouraged to continue.
Rev Fr Robert says, the Order effectively became 'Churchless' after Rev Fr Hughes retired from service in 2007, though some members of the Order still continued in a small house group.
The Order is now functioning again and looking forward to a healthy revival in the future. It is now operating in USA and the UK too.
